meet mya
Meet Mya the practice owner.
My name is Mya Williams, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) dedicated to helping individuals build healthier, more fulfilling lives. I have been working in the mental health field for over five years, providing support and guidance to clients across a wide range of ages and backgrounds.
The foundation of my career has been focused on working with children, adolescents, and young adults. In this work, I have supported clients through challenges such as behavioral concerns, emotional regulation, self-esteem, peer relationships, family dynamics, and academic stressors.
As a therapist, my goal is to create a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel understood and empowered. I believe in the importance of a collaborative therapeutic relationship, where we work together to set goals and develop strategies that meet your unique needs. I utilize evidence-based approaches tailored to each client, while also recognizing the value of compassion, cultural sensitivity, and individualized care.
Above all, I am passionate about walking alongside my clients as they navigate life’s challenges and discover new paths toward healing, balance, and growth.

I accept both insurance and private pay in Mississippi. I accept only private pay in Tennessee. For clients who qualify, a sliding scale fee is also available to help make therapy more accessible.
In the beginning, I usually recommend meeting once a week or every other week for about an hour. This helps us build a strong foundation and stay focused on your goals. As therapy moves forward, we’ll adjust the frequency together based on what feels right for you—whether that’s tapering down over time or scheduling sessions as needed.
Therapy is a safe and supportive space where you can talk openly about what’s on your mind without judgment. In our first sessions, we’ll focus on getting to know each other, building trust, and talking about what brought you here. Together, we’ll set goals that matter to you and work at your pace. Sometimes that means processing difficult emotions, other times it’s about learning new tools and strategies for daily life. Therapy is a collaborative process—I’ll walk alongside you, but you’re always in control of your journey.
Yes. We offer virtual sessions for young adults ages 18-21. Clients ages 9-17 are seen in person, where we can provide a more structured and supportive therapeutic environment.
I understand that life happens and schedules can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please do so at least 24 hours in advance to avoid any fees. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged 50% of the session fee, and missed appointments (no-shows) will be charged the full session fee.
